WHEN IS TOO MUCH MAKEUP TOO MUCH, HOW DO YOU STRIKE THE BALANCE?

Forget diamonds, forget shoe’s, forget food — it has been declared that makeup is a girl’s best friend. Whether it’s covering under-eye circles and blemishes, or giving your perfect date outfit a flirty finish, makeup is one of the most reliable tools for helping you look your best.

It is a global fact, women who do wear makeup regularly will not be seen in public without it. That said, when it’s overdone, makeup can look tacky and make you seem older. There’s a fine line between just enough and too much makeup. But knowing where that line falls can be tough. What is over-done? Personally I think the amount of makeup worn by an individual is up to them. However it is about the blending. That’s where sins are made.

When in doubt, wash it off and start again. Take your time and build up the product application. Too much makeup in the workplace, for example, can detract from your professionalism. It’s always better to look classic than unintentionally tacky by over-applying, I believe less is more. Please if wearing foundation, make sure it matches and blends into your neck.

With thousands of choices of foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lip color, liners, glosses and powders, it’s tough to know where to start. But there’s no need to worry. There are simple ways to discover your best look — starting with your basic, everyday needs and working up to more glam evening looks. Watch videos, look at women you admire, study what it is about them that makes you like their look.

Start with a polished look for daytime and move on from there. It takes time to build a relationship with your makeup, once you get it right it’s right for life. There is nothing worse than getting makeup on your clothes and on your partner. These are all things you will have to learn to master.

MAKEUP IS DEFINITELY A GIRL’S NEW BEST FRIEND.
